Consider this scenario — you’re researching wedding rings for that special someone and want to search the web for options. You also share a computer with that special someone and you don't want to spoil the surprise if they were to look at your search history. This is where Search Encrypt's first privacy feature comes in. We locally encrypt search terms before they’re sent to our servers so when your loved one looks at your browser history, there is no search for that ring.

After 30 minutes of inactivity, we expire your browsing history, meaning if someone clicked a Search Encrypt link in your history an hour later, the search will be expired with no trace.
